Seriously

OK mother nature, we need to talk. We just received 15 inches of snow. I think I can speak for everyone and say we are not amused. Seriously this needs to stop. My husband and son are trying to get calfs into this world and this certainly adds alot of stress not to mention many sleepless nights. Please bring us spring......please.

Not funny !

April 11th we had 8 inches of snow. Enough already. We are wanting to see green grass and fat robins. NOT SNOW.

Bring your shovel

We had our first blizzard of 2013. According to the news we had around 13 inches of snow, but it is hard to tell when the wind blows it around. If you plan on coming to the front door bring your shovel. I opened up the door from the garage and had to shovel my way out.

This does not happen very often

It started to snow big huge flakes this morning with no wind blowing. When I looked out my kitchen window I could believe how the snow had piled straight up on the railing. This does not happen very often in North Dakota. The wind will be coming up later on today so this will not last long.

Two Wrestlers

Wrestling season has started again and we now have two wrestlers. Sutton, age 3 and weighing at 35 pounds had his first match a couple weeks ago. The best part for him was that he got to shake hands with the other boys before the started to wrestle. Stetson here, going in for the pin, had a great day. He received first in his group, winning all three of his matches. Spence and I have really enjoyed watching the boys compete.

Patent Pending

I recruited Spence to help with the outdoor Christmas lights this year. We started with a Swifter to help get the lights up high enough on the trees but that was not working. Spence came up with his own tree light applicator. He used a plastic paddle he uses on the cattle, a rake tooth , and shipping tape ( we could not find the duct tape other wise that would have been our first choice). It worked awesome. Spence will be taking orders for this if anyone is interested. A price has not been set, we are waiting for the patent. We will also be up grading to duct tape.

Reflections of the sunrise

Spence and I both commented how beautiful the sunrise was. When he left to go to the farm he called and told me to go out and look at the reflection in the windows. I thought this was really cool.
