Water update

The water is still coming up. Yesterday the wind blew 30 miles an hour from the south so all the dead trees and cattails would float up on the road. I have parked the car in town because I can not drive the car through the water anymore. The water goes for at least a mile and a half.

#%*&@

I can't believe Mother Nature would do this to us. We received 7 more inches of wet snow yesterday. It has made calving and feeding cows almost impossible, not to mention raising our water levels that much higher.

Got water !

This is our road to Hecla. It makes for an interesting ride to town. We are afraid the road will wash out. This is our only way out, all the roads in the other directions are also under water.

Sunset

Another sunset on the plains. The colors amaze me and every day it is different.

popping through

I was in the cities last weekend and saw these popping up between the leaves. Another sign spring is here.

3rd picture of sunrise

I waited a little longer and this is what transformed from the first sunrise.

same sunrise

This is the second picture I took of the same surise a few minutes later.

reflection

I love the reflection on the water from the sunrise. This is the first of 3 I took within minutes of each other.

back in the saddle

Because of all the water, Dylan and Elroy (the horse) are out checking the cows that are calving. Dylan hasn't been in the saddle since high school, but hasn't lost the touch. I think this beats a 4 wheeler any day.

Right out my window

My neighbor was her way to church and saw this eagle in our tree and called to tell me. I took the picture from my front window.

moon and cross

Can you see the cross ? We were driving home from Bismarck and saw this cross on the hill.
